Pull Apart Bread

This ridiculously delicious stuffed bread with smokey bacon and melted Parmesan cheese will keep both your family and mates happy, and goes perfectly with an coldie around the barbie.

PREP: 10 MINS | COOK: 15-20 MINS | SERVES: 6-7 |

INGREDIENTS:

– 1 bread loaf

– 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated

– 2 cloves of garlic, grated

– 1/2 cup shallots, chopped

– 4 slices cooked bacon, diced

METHOD:

1. Using a bread knife, slice the load of bread length ways 3-4 time to the base. Make sure you do not cut all the way through. Turn the bread and repeat cutting the opposite way. Set aside for the moment.

2. In a mixing bowl add the cooked bacon, shallots, cheese and garlic. Mix all together.

3. Lay out some tin foil, then place your bread, rubbed with a bit of water to lock in the moisture. Use one hand to open the clives and the other to springkle the bacon cheese mix into all the cuts you made in the bread. Wrap your bread in the foil then place next to yout fire in some hot coals. Shovel some coals on top of the package and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes.

4. Once the bread is toasted and cheese is melted, carefully take your bread package out of the fire and open it up. It is now ready to serve, simply by tearing it apart!
